SCOPE DESCRIPTION
High-precision specialized intervention to make branch connections onto live, pressurized piping systems or pipelines without interrupting product flow or shutting down plant operations. The procedure integrates ultrasonic wallthickness mapping, high-integrity in-service welding of fullencirclement split tees, installation of full-bore sandwich
valves, and specialized tapping machines to cut and retrieve the metal pipe coupon safely per API RP 2201.
